Brief Introduction to De Broglie-Bohm Theory

Abstract:

We present historical context for the development of Non-Relativistic Quantum Mechanics (NRQM). Then, we introduce a hidden variable theory first introduced by De Broglie in 1927 in an attempt to explain matter's quantum behaviour in a deterministic way. The theory succeeded in reproducing the results of orthodox NRQM. We show how some famous solutions in NRQM are described/interpreted in the theory.
