​Position details:

The Physics Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for faculty positions in atomic, molecular and optical physics, and applied nuclear physics. Outstanding candidates in other fields of physics will also be considered. Preference will be given to recent Ph.D. graduates or postdocs. The candidate will be expected to establish an independent research program and to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Significant funding is available to aid in establishing research programs.

The Physics Department has strong research programs with well-equipped experimental facilities in lasers, low-energy nuclear physics, radiation protection, superconductivity, and materials sciences.

 

Salary/Benefits:

Two-year renewable contract. Competitive salaries based on qualifications and experience. Free furnished air-conditioned on-campus housing unit with free essential utilities and maintenance.
