Time: 11:00 a.m.
Location: Bldg. 6/Room 125
Abstract:
Electrochemical capacitors (ECs) or supercapacitors have emerged with the potential to meet the increasing requirements of energy for various applications which range from portable consumer electronics to large-scale industrial power-consuming systems. Supercapacitors are the energy storage devices that exhibit relatively higher power density than batteries/fuel cells and higher energy density than conventional capacitors. Thus, they provide a useful combination of high energy storage capability available in batteries and the high-power delivery capability of the capacitors. In the seminar presentation, basics about supercapacitors will be discussed. Emphasis will be on supercapacitors counterparts such as electrodes and electrolytes. In addition, the current work of our group will be discussed.
All faculty, researchers and students are invited to attend.
